Goldswagger journeys back to the organic "R&B meets soul-jazz-funk" sounds of Incognito, Soul II Soul, Groove Collective, Drizabone and Brooklyn Funk Essentials with his melodious single “Testify”. Lifted from the forthcoming self-titled debut (released on Mital Music), the simmering mid-tempo ballad, powered by silky smooth vocalist Honey Larochelle, features a scintillating neo soul redux by Goldswagger and potent re-rubs by Eric Kupper and Elbert Phillips (who recast the seductive original into a buoyant, lush and immediate soulful house classic) equally suited for lounges or clubs.

Goldswagger is the brainchild and alter-ego of internationally-renowned songwriter, producer, multi-musician and Easy Star All-Stars co-founder Michael Goldwasser. Heavily inspired by the live soul-funk-R&B vibes of the late 70's/early 80's and early 90’s acid jazz scene, Goldwasser has assembled an impressive “all star” ensemble of top musicians and vocalists to expertly bring his vision to life including: "JR" Robinson (Chaka Khan/Rufus, Michael Jackson's ‘Off the Wall’); Manny Laine (Wyclef Jean) and Ivan Katz (Easy Star All-Stars) on drums; Bill Holloman (Nile Rodgers' Chic) on horns; Uri Kleinman (Martha Wash) on bass; Shaul Eshet (Karolina) on keys; Gordon "Nappy G" Clay (Groove Collective) and Chauncey Yearwood (Pimps of Joytime) on percussion; and guest lead vocals by Maya Azucena, Honey Larochelle, Lisala Beatty, Sophia Ramos, Robbie Rosen, Greg Vilfranc and Melaku.
